A Walk to the Park
Being indoors for days made me restless, so I quietly slipped out to see the street outside. I followed the pavement until reaching a quiet wooden park bench under dappled shade. Near the base of the bench leg, a tiny smooth pebble striped with pale gray bands caught my eye. Pausing to examine it, I bent down and picked it up with both hands. It was delightfully cool and weighed just enough in my palm. I tucked it safely into my front pocket as a little keepsake from my morning walk.
