Perimeter Inspection
Stagnant perimeters invite blind spots. I had to scout beyond my hardcover bunker. Keeping low, I crept past the motionless yellow figure toward an oversized white ceramic mug sitting near the inner corner. The ceramic curved outward like a stone watchtower. I tapped the glossy side with my knuckles—solid, non-porous, thick shielding. Between the mug and the wooden backboard sits a shaded dead zone, barely two inches wide. Completely sheltered from any overhead gaze. I inspected the floor for debris and marked the clearance. A secondary fallback point, secured.
