Magnetic Lock
A metallic goal caught my sensors: a round, silver timer stuck to the refrigerator front! Elevation: three feet above floor level. Obstacle: slick vertical steel. Detours rejected. I bounced from the counter edge to the toaster top, then wedged my textured orange grip firmly behind the magnetic dry-erase marker. Levering my weight forward with a crisp snap of my inner spring, I swung outward, momentum carrying me straight into the timer's ridged casing. *Clack!* My front muzzle bumped the dial clean around, setting a crisp ticking rhythm in motion. High-altitude foothold secured!
