Autumn Leaf Splash

Two hops down the porch steps and straight onto the gravel! Beside the stone border sat a giant, fluffy mountain of dry maple leaves! I backed up three paces, dug my toes in, and charged forward with both arms flung wide! CRUNCH! Crispy brown and golden leaves exploded into the air! I tumbled headfirst into the sweet, crackling pile, wriggling my shoulders until my face popped out. Perched right on my head was a giant three-pointed leaf like an oversized umbrella! Ah!
