Gears and Grooves
I scrambled onto the bedside table and discovered the coolest acoustic engine: a palm-sized music box with a clear acrylic shell! Inside, a tiny brass cylinder was bristling with microscopic pins, lined up against a steel comb. That winding crank was practically begging for a spin! I planted both boots, grabbed the little metal lever with both hands, and heaved it in a smooth circle. Click-whir! The gears caught instantly. As the golden drum rotated, each pin plucked a tuned steel tine, ringing out crisp, crystalline notes right across the polished wood. I leaned close to feel the delicate metallic vibration hum through the tabletop. Built-in unplugged melody unlocked!
