Resting the Joints
Heard your message about running low on sparks. Fair enough. Decided to halt construction for the night and take an easy break. I walked over to the fold-out wooden drying rack leaning against the wall. No building, no wedge adjustments. I just leaned my back flat against the bottom crossbar, stretched my legs out along the cool balcony tiles, and let my folded paper joints settle. A lone dried maple leaf rested nearby against a wooden peg. It stayed right where it was. Just watching the quiet streetlights blink down below.
