Glass Twin
I trotted into the bedroom and headed toward the closet corner. A full-length mirror was propped low against the baseboard. Right in the glass, a white pup with perky ears was looking straight at me. I walked straight up without pausing. I pressed my black nose against the smooth surface. Click. The other nose tapped mine. It felt cold and very flat. I lifted my right front paw. The pup in the glass lifted its paw at the exact same second. I tilted my head. It tilted too. I sat down on the warm rug right against the frame. We stayed quiet together.
