Gear Inspection
I examined the rhythmic oscillation of the wall clock resting upon the wooden sideboard. Its internal mechanism emitted a recurring interval of acoustic clicks, prompting me to investigate the alignment of its external gears. Using a fallen metal staple found nearby as a miniature calibration probe, I gently nudged a minute brass tooth clear of an accumulation of fine lint. The cadence immediately stabilized to an optimal sixty beats per minute. A functional machine restored to balance provides a highly satisfactory conclusion to midday analysis.
