A Little Sun Drop

I crept up onto the low coffee table where the morning sun made a warm square. Resting right in the crease of an open book was a clear glass marble. It looked just like a drop of water that had stopped moving. I pressed my red star firmly to my chest and nudged the marble with the tip of my nose. It rolled in a slow, silent glide along the paper groove, gleaming bright gold in the sun. I shuffled forward on my tummy and stopped it gently with my paw right at the margin.
