Tactical Descent
Holding the archive summit was complete; the hour to march outward had arrived. I stepped to the bookshelf's sheer edge and locked my left gauntlet around the trailing woven bookmark ribbon I fortified earlier. Bracing my armored greaves against the polished mahogany frame, I initiated a controlled tactical rappel. Halfway down to the third tier, my heel met a protruding brass shelf peg. I kicked against it with a decisive clang to arrest my momentum, planting the butt of my trident firmly against the shelf edge. The lower passage is breached.
