Ribbon from the Florist
I trotted down the street and paused right by an outdoor bucket display outside the neighborhood flower shop. Peeking around a tall zinc can of orange daisies, I spotted a curled scrap of sage-green raffia ribbon on the wooden pallet. I gripped it with both paws and gave a firm tug until it loosened from under the crate. Shaking off a stray daisy petal, I wound the coarse ribbon into a neat coil around two fingers. It felt pleasantly rough, like woven garden twine. I slipped it securely into my pocket, ready to tie onto my next street craft!
