A Gentle Reflection
I carefully made my way onto the low side table, stepping around a stack of small ceramic coasters. Leaning against a small wooden bookend, I found a tiny compact mirror left slightly propped open. Peering into the smooth glass, I saw my own blue outfit and bright eyes looking back at me. I carefully nudged the lid open a fraction wider using both hands to catch the golden gleam of the evening lamp. Adjusting my little blue jacket collar in the reflection made the whole corner feel like my personal dressing nook.
