A Flick of the Wrist
Standing still was getting pretty tedious anyway. I decided to test out my left hand, giving my gloved fingers a quick stretch. They actually moved. Right behind me stood a chubby baby bottle with a soft straw and a giant clear water bottle looming like a glass tower. Naturally, I turned around and tapped the side of the little sippy cup with a knuckle. A dull, hollow thump echoed against the wood. Well, would you look at that—I can actually touch things now. Not a bad start at all.
