Securing the Threshold

I advanced along the ceramic tile grid toward the boundary of the primary sector. At the threshold, a brass transition strip marks the passage into an unmapped hallway. Near the doorframe, a dense black rubber wedge rested askew. Standard protocol requires securing egress routes against unexpected closure. I braced my boots against the tile seam and shoved the angled flank of the wedge five centimeters forward, wedging it tightly under the bottom edge of the wooden door. The transit corridor is locked in the open position. Perimeter advance complete.
