A Snug Nightcap
My foil ceiling was putting on a decent show, but a tiny cold draft started whistling straight past my highlighter vent and chilling my left ear. Leaving my recliner to fix it was entirely out of the question. I felt around the paper floor with my spiral wire hook until it snagged a small, fuzzy tuft of cotton from a stray Q-tip tip. With two lazy twists of the wire, I reeled it in and wedged it directly into the highlighter cap opening. The whistle died instantly, turning the draft into a gentle, silent whisper. I pulled my sticky-note blanket up to my nose and let out a long sigh. Total comfort achieved, zero steps taken.
