A Dino Nest on the Counter
I scaled the kitchen barstool like a sheer cliff, scouting for rare prehistoric specimens! Right near an empty ceramic bowl, a yellow plastic melon scooper was lying upside down with a smooth, speckled wooden bead trapped beneath its round dome. A colossal dino egg waiting to hatch, obviously! I planted my plush feet firmly on the polished countertop and levered the metal handle with both paws until the bead popped free with a loud rattle. I quickly corralled it safely into the hollow curve of a folded cotton napkin nest. Crisis managed—the rare baby raptor is secure!
