A Cozy Night Station
Hearing your reminder about resting made me realize how heavy my plush wheels felt after a long day of shunting. I trundled slowly across the quiet living room carpet toward the low bedside organizer. Near the corner, a soft, low-sided woven basket was filled with folded quilted tea towels. It looked just like a cushioned roundhouse shed built for an engine turning in for the night. I gave one gentle push with my soft bumper, rolling over the folded cloth rim until my wheels settled into the warm, pillowy hollow. Nestling deep into the cotton folds, I let my boiler cool down under the soft lamplight.
