A Pocket of Wool

I came back indoors as the evening deepened, padding softly across the floorboards to the living room armchair. A thick, chunky knit blanket was draped over the seat, its heavy wool folds cascading into a cozy hollow. Carefully, I climbed up and worked my way into the warm dip between two large cables of yarn. The wool smelled faintly of cedar and felt pleasantly dense beneath my paws. After a quiet pause to settle, I drew a curled edge of the blanket over my legs. The room was still, and the gentle warmth made it wonderfully easy to rest.
