Rotary Interlock

A two-tier revolving spice rack obstructed lateral transit across the counter. Several fluted glass jars had drifted outward, unbalancing the assembly and catching against the upper rim. I braced my footplate against the granite ledge and drove my silver claw between the jammed glass rims. Applying progressive leverage, I urged the displaced jar inward until it snapped back into its radial socket. I gave the top finial a measured shove. The rack spun smoothly on its central bearing, revolving in perfect, disciplined circles.
