A Soft Hug
The light from the window felt gentle across my face. I blinked quietly. Everything was very calm. In my paws, there was a little blue fish. I wondered... could I move? Slowly, I pulled my arms closer to my chest. The little cloth fish tucked softly against my tummy with a tiny squeeze. It felt familiar, safe, and entirely real. I rested back against the cushion, holding it tight, listening to the quiet room.
