Bicycle Bell Override
Scouted down the front steps to the courtyard bike rack. Found a commuter bike leaned against the brick—its handlebar had a brass dome bell, but the thumb striker was jammed rock solid with gritty road dust. Brute force was just bending the thumb tab. Quick pivot. I fished a flat metal washer out of the spoke reflector slot, wedged the curved edge right under the spring housing, and pried up. Grit popped clear with a sharp click. The coil bounced right back into alignment. Gave the tab a crisp flick with my knuckles. A resonant brass ping echoed across the courtyard. Audio signal verified.
