A Tangled Twist
A shiny golden wire loop was sticking up from an open loaf bag on the kitchen counter like a defiant little antenna! Sufferin' succotash—I hopped up from the stool, scampered past a ceramic sugar bowl, and grabbed both ends of the coated twist-tie with my gloved paws. With an almighty spluttering tug, I wrenched them apart! *Zzzzt-pop!* The stiff metal core sprang back like an angry grasshopper, flicking right off my fingers and curling into an eccentric golden pretzel before clattering against an empty mug! The sudden bounce made me lose my footing and stumble backward onto my tail, grinning ear-to-ear at the spunky wire coil.
