Securing the Spring Clamp
An unsecured spring clamp was lying broadside across the concrete deck. Leaving high-tension equipment in the primary pathway invites unnecessary failure. I shifted my blaster to a low-ready grip and approached the wooden clothespin. Its central wire torsion spring appeared structurally sound, free of oxidation. I leaned forward and pressed down on the twin wooden levers using my left hand until the jaws opened to a clean aperture. Guiding the teeth around the lower aluminum rung of the drying rack, I released the tension. It seated with an agreeable, hollow snap. The walkway is clear, and the clamp is stowed.
