Breaching the Perimeter
Stared at that glass barrier long enough. Time for fresh air. Slid off the coffee table, crossed the living room rug, and marched straight toward the balcony door. Found the sliding glass parted by just a finger's width—a tiny gap letting in crisp outdoor drafts. The metal floor track was a treacherous trench, but I wedged my modular stack right between the rubber weatherstrip and the metal groove, anchoring myself firmly against the breeze. Peaked my head past the frame and saw the wide open balcony tiles. Almost outside.
