Precision Shunt

A stray steel socket sat gleaming against the baseboard, catching my eye immediately. Heavy, knurled metal—a proper test of grip. I edged forward, lined up my center mark, and gave the throttle a quick tap. Clack! My front bumper met the cold chrome dead-center. The socket resisted for half a second before rolling smoothly forward across the painted concrete, tracing a razor-straight line. I tailed right behind it, feeling the solid mechanical vibration resonate clean through my front axle. Pure alignment, zero drift.
