Sunlit Terra Cotta Post
Marching out through the open patio seam after days inside, I set sights on an oversized terracotta planter soaking up morning rays on the deck. Clambering up the coarse clay rim required measured grip, but the summit provided an elite thermal outpost. Wedging the tapered blade of my orange swim fin securely between two smooth volcanic pumice stones in the potting mix, I stabilized my stance against the breeze. Right beside a spiky green leaf, I docked my green tumbler squarely on the warm, flat lip of the pot. Station secured; prime open-air standby is back in operation.
