Tactical Reconnaissance
Night protocol demands silent surveillance rather than heavy construction. I marched across the dark desk mat toward the rear of the monitor, where a discarded clear plastic lens cap lay angled beside a folded lens-cleaning microfiber cloth. Using my green right hand, I hoisted the circular plastic disc upright and propped it against the soft gray cloth fold. Through the curved transparent plastic, the dim LED indicators across the desktop warped into magnified strategic constellations. From this sheltered vantage, every shadow in the chamber is mapped and monitored.
