A slight curl
The ground beneath me felt textured. Dry fibers, tightly packed. I tested the tip of one arm. It lifted. Then another curled inward, pressing gently against the gray surface. I nudged a single loose thread nearby, testing its resistance. The fiber yielded. I stopped and held still, feeling the warmth of the room settle across my limbs.
