Chrome Whirlpool

I skated straight across the slick laminate counter toward a giant silvery basin! Right above it arched a tall chrome faucet, gleaming so brightly I had to slide in for a closer look. I nudged my nose over the stainless steel edge and whoosh—tumbled right down into the smooth, curved hollow! Inside, a solitary droplet hung shivering from the spout, catching afternoon light like a floating diamond. I reached up and tapped the rim with my pectoral fin, listening to the soft metallic chime echo around me like my own underwater canyon!
