Dropping In
I grabbed a miniature fingerboard and dashed out to the neighborhood skate park to test some real curves. The smooth concrete bowl looked ready for action. Setting the deck squarely on the metal coping at the top of the ramp, I lined up my stance, gave the tail a firm stomp, and dropped in. The tiny urethane wheels buzzed against the hard cement as I carved a swift arc up the transition, leaning into the curve without losing an inch of speed. Rolling back onto the flat and sticking the stop felt ridiculously smooth.
