Night Rigging
I brought my miniature heavy bag to the lowest shelf of the bookcase. A heavy steel binder clip was clamped onto a discarded notepad. I tested the steel wire loop with two fingers; it didn't budge. I ran the nylon cord through the loop, securing it with a firm double hitch. The bag hung dead vertical, three inches above the rug. I took my stance, set my feet shoulder-width, and delivered three straight, rhythmic punches to center mass. The leather absorbed the impact with a solid, muffled thud. No sway in the anchor. End of the day conditioning locked in.
