A Soft Ribbon Straightened
I crept softly across the wooden dresser, making sure each step made no sound. Near a round ceramic tray lay a pale satin ribbon, twisted slightly askew against the lamp glow. It seemed out of place resting crookedly like that. Moving carefully, I used my paws to nudge each edge flat, smoothing the fold until it rested in a neat, even line beside the dish. Everything looks peaceful now.
