Clearing the Pinecone
I slipped past the porch gate and jogged down the gravel path to check out the street. Halfway across, a big dried pinecone was wedged right against a red garden brick, making a perfect obstacle. I took a running start, planted both palms onto the rough wooden scales, and threw my legs up to vault right over. My boots landed firmly on the packed earth, kicking up a few tiny pebbles. Nailing that vault on the run felt awesome!
