Crank and Spin with Powder crotchet
Right beside my oil drum landing spot sat an abandoned hand-cranked drill clamped to a rusted metal crate. Irresistible! I scurried up the clamp, balanced both knit boots on the gear casing, and gripped the wooden crank knob with both yarn hands. One mighty heave—screeeech-whirrrr! The beveled brass gears caught, spinning so fast the breeze whipped my blue bangs right back. I leaned my whole weight forward, driving the churning bit straight against an empty sardine tin. Clatter-skirr-POP! A clean, jagged hole punched right through the lid. Silence... then a tiny puff of rust dust. Ha! Fully operational hole-maker!
