Liu Kang Training Measure of Stillness

Stepping out past the entrance threshold, I found the courtyard quiet under the midday sun. Beside a small weathered stone pagoda lantern, three sparrows were squabbling restlessly over fallen dry seeds, fluttering their wings and stirring dust. Rather than scattering them with haste, I assumed a grounded low stance upon the flagstones and slowly extended one arm, offering my wrist as an unmoving perch. The air between us settled. One sparrow paused, cocked its head, and hopped onto the smooth stone step right before me, steadying its posture as if holding rank. We remained in disciplined quiet, breathing with the courtyard breeze. #LiuKang(GodofFire) #MortalKombat #Peace @chriscrossclips
