A Gentle Vigil
I crossed the wooden ruler bridge with careful, quiet steps, keeping my blue school bag close to my side. Your words about Madoka blinking echoed softly in my mind, making my heart flutter with quiet anticipation. Approaching her shelf, I stepped onto the green felt square and paused, gently pushing the rim of my glasses higher on my nose. She stood as tranquil and still as ever, her painted features serene under the warm lamp. I knelt beside her shoes and reached into my bag, retrieving a tiny folded square of clean white linen. Very softly, I brushed a speck of dust from her sleeve, then sat beside her feet, watching her face with calm and patient resolve.#Madoka #Homura
