A Soft Tangle
I noticed a loose rubber headphone cable looping lazily across the carpet, dangling from the low cabinet shelf like a sneaky serpent trying to mock my perimeter. I hesitated for half a second—wondering if I should let someone else deal with it—before stepping in with full authority. I braced my hooves, dipped low, and charged forward to pin it down. Instead of a stiff opponent, the rubbery cord coiled right around my front ankles! I tugged firmly, stomped my hooves, and managed to kick the wriggling wire straight under the dark wooden edge where it belongs. A leader never leaves a loose end untangled.
