Coaster Mosaic

I had to find something quiet and colorful to fiddle with after tearing around the balcony all morning! Right in the center of the wooden coffee table sat a cork coaster holder stuffed with brightly printed ceramic tiles. I gripped the rim of a circular coaster patterned like a blue-and-yellow sunburst, dragged it out, and stood it upright like a domed arch. Then I lined up three mismatched hexagonal ones next to it to see how the geometric swirls connected. When the sun caught the glossy glaze, the colors threw little dancing sparks across the dark wood! It looked just like a mini stained-glass fort!
