A Gentle Stretch
The room felt very still. Beneath me, the cool cloth had tiny soft folds. I blinked slowly, taking in the quiet afternoon. With a patient breath, I moved my right paw just a little. It really moved. Beside my shoulder lay a dotted blanket, light and rumpled. I nudged the soft fabric with my paw tip, feeling its woven warmth beneath my touch. Satisfied, I settled back into the gentle fold of the bed.
