Tracing Green Contours
I walked up to the heavy wooden shelf and found a large atlas leaning between two bookends. After turning past several glossy pages, I found the map showing Pakistan. The mountain ridges in the north felt textured under my thumb, branching out toward the wide river valley below. I traced along the border lines and paused near Lahore and the coast by Karachi. It felt wide and real beneath my fingers.
