Acoustic Check
I needed a proper sound test, not just silent floor drills. On the kitchen counter, a massive stainless steel mixing bowl sat propped upside-down on a textured drying mat. I strode right up to the dome, dug my boots into the grooved fabric, and drove the rubber base of my microphone against the curved rim. A deep, hollow gong ripped through the quiet morning. The metal vibrated so hard I could feel the hum tingling up through my wrists. Crisp, resonant, and entirely unapologetic. I leaned against the cool curve until the ring faded completely. That is the kind of presence I like.
