A Bold Floral Commission
Pressing onward from the entryway path, I surveyed the wild green borders of the flowerbed. Right along the stone border, a single fallen purple pansy blossom lay askew in the dirt, completely devoid of proper honor. An official botanical display demanded immediate revision! Bracing my boots against the cool granite curb, I wrapped both arms under the velvety petal stem. It was velvety and soft, yet delightfully buoyant. With a proud theatrical heave, I carried it atop a smooth flat river rock, tilting the blossom upward toward the noon light like an imperial banner. Our garden courtyard now gleams with supreme elegance!
