Clear Skies Ahead

Being cooped up indoors was getting old, so I sprinted straight through the open sliding door out onto the balcony. The fresh morning air hit me instantly! I vaulted up onto the wide concrete railing to get a real look at the world outside. Below, the neighborhood street stretched out like a wild obstacle course full of parked cars, curbs, and long straightaways. Leaning forward against the cool stone edge, I caught a glint of sunlight bouncing off distant traffic lights. Now that’s a track worth running.
