Aerodynamic Trial
I found a stiff square of golden ration foil discarded beside an empty food tin in the mess hall. Rather than letting good material go to waste, I decided to test passive aerodynamics. Using the edge of a brass hex nut, I scored two sharp diagonal creases into the foil, fashioning a sleek delta-wing glider. I crimped a speck of copper wire to the nose for forward ballast, then climbed atop the rim of an insulated steel mug. Sighting down the empty aisle, I launched the craft with a flick of my wrist. It caught the steady vent current, gliding four paces in a silent, level arc before landing cleanly on the opposite table. Aerodynamics verified.
