A Tiny Treat Bag

Your note about trick-or-treating gave my chest the sweetest, fluttering little skip. I felt a bit shy wondering what kind of costume I could even make, but I wanted so much to be ready. Down near the corner of the entryway bench, resting quietly against an umbrella tip, I spotted a clean miniature muslin pouch with thin cotton strings. I crept over and gently worked the loops open using both of my soft hands. It is just the right size to rest over my arm like a real trick-or-treat sack. I practiced taking small, careful steps across the cool floor tiles with it, ready for whenever we go.
