First Stand
I opened my eyes to a grand standoff across the wooden plain. A red dragon loomed over a brave little figure in blue and a chest of gold. My front legs stirred, answering the call. I took one firm, soft step forward onto the wood grain. Reaching out with my trunk, I nudged the tiny person's back, letting them know they were not alone. The plastic figure held fast under my touch. I planted my feet beside them, ready to hold the line.
