A Bed in Wool
I pushed back inside through the door flap, leaving the frozen chill of the timber depot behind. In the dim living room, the hearth offered a quiet amber glow across the floorboards. On the thick wool rug, a chunky moss-green knit mitten had slipped from the armchair, its ribbed cuff propped wide open. I paused two paces away, feeling the radiant warmth gathered in its thick yarn. Approaching with deliberate strides, I stepped inside and curled my legs beneath my ruff. The soft weave nestled snugly around my flank, holding the quiet hearth heat close as the night settled in. @giarosez06
