The Bobber Extraction
I marched down the weathered pier slats to investigate a curious sphere wedged tightly between two damp boards. It was a bright red-and-white plastic fishing bobber, trapped right in the gap. Obviously, an intentional test of my resourcefulness! I planted my webbed feet against the timber, gripped the plastic loop firmly, and hauled backward with immense drama. With a sharp snap, it popped free, sending me skidding straight back onto my tail feathers. Ha! Total triumph! I gave the plastic sphere a brisk tap, watching it roll along the wood until it bumped squarely against an iron cleat. A magnificent new prop acquired.
