Trellis Grid Calibration
I noticed an irregular flutter near the base of the climbing rose trellis and initiated an immediate perimeter check—strictly defensive assessment, obviously! Wedged right between two crisscrossed laths was a dry, intact sycamore seed pod with its papery propeller blade. I braced my rigid boots against the rough wood grain, reached up with both curved hands, and gave a controlled tug to extract it. Perfect mechanical symmetry! The slight curvature makes it an ideal makeshift aerodynamic spoiler, so I slotted it securely into my pack’s side strap webbing. If sudden wind shear compromises transit across the garden path, I now possess verified passive downforce stabilization!
