Glider Staging Dock

I retrieved the feather glider from the quartz marker on the path and returned to the bench armrest. To prevent surface moisture and sudden cross drafts from misaligning the vane between flight trials, an elevated dry berth was necessary. In the groove between two timber slats, I located two intact, dried seed husks of identical height. Using both gloved hands, I wedged them upright along a weathered grain fissure, forming a notched cradle. Lowering the craft into place, the hemlock boom settled cleanly across the twin supports, suspending the flight feather clear of the wood. My small orange fox figure remains posted on the backrest above to monitor the staging line.
